A sailing team from Poland's Tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot). We race in the top division of the Polish Sailing League and train young sailors in the 29er.

Who we are

Rockstars Racing is a sailing team from Poland's Tricity. We have raced in the top division of the Polish Sailing League since 2023, and in Gdynia we run a 29er training group together with Yacht Klub Polski.

Until 2026 we raced as On Lemon Rockstars Racing.

    20 crews on identical RS21 boats supplied by the organiser. Only the crew makes the difference.

    A joint training group with Yacht Klub Polski in Gdynia, roughly half of Poland's 29er fleet.

The Polish Sailing League

More than 120 clubs and 500 sailors. According to the organiser, it is the largest of the world's 24 national sailing leagues in the International Sailing League Association.

Youth training in Gdynia

The 29er programme

The 29er is a very fast two-person skiff with a trapeze and an asymmetric spinnaker. Worldwide it is one of the main youth classes that sailors pass through on the way to the Olympic 49er and Nacra 17.

In Gdynia we run a joint training group with Yacht Klub Polski. Together we make up roughly half of Poland's 29er fleet. We train and race together, and we are aiming for medals at the European and World Championships.

Who it is for

For young sailors with a few racing seasons behind them, ideally in the Optimist, ILCA (formerly Laser) or 420. Our current sailors are 14–18.

Coaches

Aleksander Michalski, helmsman of the Rockstars Racing league crew.

Paweł Nowakowski, coach at Yacht Klub Polski Gdynia and a former 420 and 470 sailor. His sailors won gold at the ISAF Youth Sailing World Championships in the 420 two years running, in 2015 and 2016.
